Who is doing this? Quietly, without authority from Parliament, an all-party group which calls itself the Canadian Parliamentary Coalition to Combat Antisemitism (CPCCA) has been formed to investigate antisemitism in Canada. Not antisemitism as it is traditionally understood: discrimination against or denial of the right of Jews to live as equal members of society. (Members of this Coalition are well aware that traditional antisemitism exists only among fringe groups in Canada.)

Israel is criticized for violating the right to equality in a new report by the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD). An advance version of the CERD report indicates that racial prejudice can be found in almost every facet of Israeli life.

I have been a very vocal critic of the Israeli government for some time now. In my criticisms i discuss :

  • how they treat Palestinians
  •  have been a less than helpful ally to the U.S.
  •  and how the ideology of Zionism is fundamentally racist.

No where and at no time have i ever spoken badly of the jewish culture. Like all other cultures, religions, races, etc., i respect what positive things it has done, but i also have no problem pointing out its short comings. This is the beauty of free speech.

Why is it that when ever Israel breaks international laws, it gets swept under the rug?

Why is it that in mainstream press, Palestinians are considered terrorists, yet when looking at the facts, it is apparent that they are treated like a disease rather than people, and all the plight the Palestinians go through is dismissed as small and over exaggerated . Even the children are not immune.

As for being an American ally in the middle east, and their claims of being lied about by “foreign and anti-Semitic enemies, well, lets name off a few things that, if they were actually covered by the mainstream press, might turn people’s views of Israel to the negative.

  1. Israel attacked Iraq in 1981, bombing the power station at Osirik, claiming it was a clandestine weapons factory. Subsequent examination of the ruins following the 2003 invasion proved Israel had lied.
  2.  In 1982, Israel invaded Lebanon. This led to the Massacres at Sabra and Shatilla.
  3. In September 2007 Israel bombed Syria, again insisting they were destroying a clandestine weapons laboratory. Again there was no evidence to support Israel’s claims.
  4. The Lavon affair (“Esek Habish” – the shameful affair) was one of the most bizarre chapters in Israeli history.  In 1954, the Israeli secret service set up a spy ring in Egypt, with the purpose of blowing up US and British targets. The operation was code-named “Susanah.” The terrorist hits were to be blamed on the regime of Egyptian President Gamal Abdul Nasser, with the purpose of alienating the US and Britain from Egypt and Nasser and somehow preventing Egyptian nationalization of the Suez canal. The ring was discovered. Strict censorship ensured that the Israeli public officially knew little or nothing of the affair for many years. Names were not mentioned, the affair was called “Esek Bish” – the affair of shame, and key protagonists were referred to as “X” and “the third man.” Unofficially and through leaks, most people knew at least the outlines of the affair.
  5.  The USS Liberty attackof 1967, was an attempt by the Israeli military to sink a United States spy ship. The ship had no signficant armaments and instead bristled with radio antennas. For reasons never admitted, President Johnson’s administration refused to interfere while the attack was in progress and both Israel and the U.S. governments have treated the incident as an accident ever since. Hell, just google it.

One final example is a clear illustration of the neoconservative thinking on war on Iraq, a 1996 paper developed by Perle, Feith, David Wurmser, and others published by an Israeli think tank, the Institute for Advanced Strategic and Political Studies, titled “A clean break: a new strategy for securing the realm.” It was intended as a political blueprint for the incoming government of Benjamin Netanyahu. The paper stated that Netanyahu should “make a clean break” with the Oslo peace process and reassert Israel’s claim to the West Bank and Gaza. It presented a plan whereby Israel would “shape its strategic environment,” beginning with the removal of Saddam Hussein and the installation of a Hashemite monarchy in Baghdad, to serve as a first step toward eliminating the anti-Israeli governments of Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Iran.

I bring this up, because anytime I post on conservative sites about such things, i get slammed by all kinds of apologists. When I show reports by mainstream news as well as the alternative press, conservative OR liberal, that show my points, i am labeled as a jew hater, nazi, anti-Semite.

I criticize China for human rights violations, does that make me anti-asian? I will not condone the violent and inhumane treatment of women in Islamic countries. That doesn’t mean I hate all muslims. I question MY American government and it’s actions and it’s war crimes,am I a traitor? No, I am a patriotic citizen that wants the best for his country.

My point is, the insult of anti-Semitism is powerful, just like being branded a racist,  it’s a hard lable to disprove. Close minded people throw such terms around when presented with irrefutable evidence, just to close the argument in their favor. Such actions are foolish and do nothing to advance honest discourse.

Hating someone for who they are is wrong. Hating someone for their actions is not. I  disagree with a lot of Israels actions, as noted above, not because I hate the Jewish culture, but because lately they seem to be emulating the very ideologies they claim to despise, racial superiority, ethnic cleansing, and over zealous regional hegemonic aspirations. Just a few examples of how Israelis are becoming more and more like NAZIS.

This election season, when you hear candidates talk of their support for Israel, remember these videos, and think about what the US is supporting.

This, we don’t need!!!
